Computer switching and remote operation

The abbreviation KVM stands for Keyboard – Video – Mouse. A KVM switch makes it possible, irrespective of the operating system installed, to control several computers with a single mouse, a single keyboard and a single screen (even at the BIOS level). As a result, heterogeneous computer environments can be combined in a single KVM switching system. The switching takes place by means of key combinations or an on-screen display. In systems with several simultaneous users, management of access rights is also possible.

A distinction is made between:

Single User KVM-Switch:
1 User / up to 256 computers

Multi User KVM-Switch:
1-16 Users / up to 1024 computers

KVM-Switch over IP:
1-4 Users over IP / 1 User local / basically an unlimited number of computers is possible

Central Management over IP:
1-500 Users / basically an unlimited number of computers is possible
