Remote computer access via TCP/IP even at BIOS level

KVM extenders working via IP extend the distance possible between computer and user to an indefinite distance. Access takes place through encrypted access to the IP extender, either in the local network or over the Internet.

The KVM extender working via IP converts the monitor, mouse and keyboard signals of the computer so that they can be transmitted to the user via the TCP/IP protocol.

By simultaneously using professional KVM switching systems it is possible, for example, to manage entire server rooms in a separate building from the administrator’s office workstation.- or even different branches across the world (24 hours/day).

The following signals can be transmitted:

VGA (Monitor)
PS/2 or USB (for keyboard and mouse)
Audio
RS232

Possible uses:

In computing centres a remote operator/user located in a quiet environment (e.g. in the office) can have access to the computers in the server room. The likelihood of errors occurring is reduced as it is thus easier to concentrate. In addition, the taking of the long path to the server room or another, connected branch is only necessary in the rarest cases - this saves time and money and is therefore also much more efficient.

Further application areas include, for example, automation technology, industrial applications, medical technology and also financial service providers such as banks, insurance companies, building societies etc.
